After having a string of hits from their platinum selling debut album, 1992's Born Into the 90s, Public Announcement's success came to a halt in 1993 when their lead singer, R. Kelly, decided to pursue a solo career. As we all know, Kelly went on to become one of the most successful R&B artists of his generation, while Public Announcement faded from the spotlight during the mid 90s. Nearly 5 years after the split, the group (without R. Kelly) made a comeback with one of the bigger R&B hits of the late 90s, "Body Bumpin'(Yippie-Yi-Yo)", the first single from their second album, All Work, No Play.
